KENNY'S PICK

LOST WORLD

These books are all excellent reads. Like all Crichton books Airframe gives an insight into an unregulated air industry that can be quite cut-throat and not as safe as we might think. This book is full of suspense and surprises and you will not be disappointed with the ending.

Those who have seen the movie Congo will be amazed by how much better developed the characters are in the book and how the "killer gorillas" do not come across as a hokie ending to an implausible story. I personally liked the movie, but after reading the book realized how major elements of the stories characters had been changed radically.

The best part of Disclosure is the ending -- for those of you who have not seen the movie I will not spoil the finish. For those of you who work or have worked in the corporate environment this story of sexual harassment turned around and used as a smoke screen will be very enlightening.

The Lost World is a book I have read at least three times and I find new things each time I read it. The discussion of chaos theory, dinosaur extinction, and theories on the direction man's society is headed in add to a suspense packed roller coaster ride that outdoes a movie that only shares the same name. I was never more disappointed than when I went to see the movie Lost World -- I was excitedly waiting to see the incredible action sequences on the big screen -- unfortunately the trailer scene was the only thing in the book to make it and even the best scene in the movie can not compare to the book.
