A trip to Yellowstone National Park must be
planned 6-12 months in advance. Hotels,
motels, campsites, resorts, and car rentals
all book months in advance. Consider visiting
after the snow melts or before it falls.
Better yet, consider visiting in winter.
In keeping with environmental concerns the
infrastructure cannot keep
up with the amount of visitors the park
receives each year. Be prepared for large
crowds and slow moving traffic. The park
is enormous so careful planning of how
you will spend your time is crucial.
Be certain to schedule a trip to the Grand Tetons which is located
just south of the park.
